Disability Justice Project works with disabled filmmakers and journalists across the world, reporting at the intersection of climate change and disability justice through a lived experience-first lens. Over the past three years, our role has been to help that work reach global audiences through shaping a consistent social media identity, turning reporting into contemporary, platform-native storytelling, and building a global digital presence around the voices already doing the work.
That partnership has grown well beyond day-to-day social media. Alongside strategy, films, edits and cross-platform publishing, we have collaborated on original factual films and now co-facilitate the Disability Justice Film Lab, training five disabled filmmakers from four different countries as they develop short films of their own. Across all of it, the approach stays the same: preserve the originality of each filmmaker’s voice, then build the editorial, creative and distribution systems that help those stories reach a wider, more global audience.
